Heathrow Elementary Student’s Artwork Featured in National Magazine
Suze Peace, the art teacher at Heathrow Elementary School, is pleased to announce one of her student’s artwork is featured in the September issue of “Arts and Activities” magazine. Whitley Williams is a fifth grade student and the magazine featured several pieces of her art in various mediums. Whitley states, “Inspiration. That is how I started creating art. In my travels, I saw different forms of art. In Paris, I went to the Louvre. It had many portraits, still-life paintings and sculptures. I have developed my own style of art. Sometimes, I will draw a still life or create colorful paintings. When I take photos, I try to capture the perfect second in my picture. My favorite photo captured the beauty of a swan gliding across a gentle pond. I always get motivated by my art teacher, Mrs. Peace, and my family. They are very supportive. I always make time for my art.”
